MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of the Bitterroot Valley Chorus is to provide enjoyable, charitable and educational musical experiences for the entire community. The goal is to offer the best possible performances to the public at the lowest price and free, if possible.

Peggy Bucheit

Collaborative Pianist
Peggy Bucheit is the Conductor and Artistic Director for the Bitterroot Valley Chorus and Youth Choir. Mrs. Bucheit is in her 21st year at the helm of the Chorus. She develops and manages all the musical programming for the Chorus and conducts all rehearsals and performances of the Bitterroot Valley Chorus and Youth Choir. Mrs. Bucheit was the Director of Choirs for Hamilton High School and Hamilton Middle School for over 30 years. She has a Master’s Degree in Music Education and She is a sought-after clinician for Music Festivals and guest presentations to Northwest professional music organizations, and has been a guest conductor for Youth Choirs throughout the Northwest. Mrs. Bucheit is a member of the American Choral Directors Association, Montana Choral Directors Association – Past President, Founder of the Montana YouthSing for children ages 4th-8th grade, National Association for Music Education, Montana Music Educators Association and the Hamilton Players.
Mrs. Bucheit has also taken her choirs to perform in Europe and New York. For the second time, Mrs. Bucheit will be taking her Concert Choir to Carnegie Hall NYC in early December 2016 to perform in Tim Janis’ Golden Hat Foundation’s production of “An American Carol”, which benefits research and assistance for individuals with autism.
Mrs. Bucheit has worked for Missoula Children’s Theater and the Hamilton Players youth theater camps. She was a finalist for Montana Teacher of the Year.
Tricie Callaghan-Stover is the Collaborative Pianist for The Bitterroot Valley Chorus and Youth Choir. Mrs. Callaghan-Stover began her piano study at the age of 4 and became a collaborative pianist at the age of 6 for her school and church, continuing throughout her high school years. She studied piano performance at the University of Montana and has had 26 years of private piano study. Mrs. Callaghan-Stover has been a member of the Bitterroot Valley Chorus since 2000, as a singer, pianist and Steering Committee member. She is a collaborative pianist for the Hamilton High School Concert Choir/Guys and Dolls and the guest pianist for the annual Western A Choral Festival, as well as a pianist for Music Festival students, private voice students and other Valley performing arts organizations. Mrs. Callaghan-Stover has a private piano studio here in the Valley.
Steering Committee
The BRVC is run and assisted by a volunteer committee that handles finances, marketing, document & music management, volunteer coordination, and many other aspects.
